Many aging adults reside in New York City alone with family members living in distant cities who are unaware of their actual everyday realities. Neighbors are often the first to see behaviors and activities that suggest a person may be unsafe, at risk, or potentially destructive. These issues often become the responsibility of the co-op board/residence management group to address.
