Many aging adults suffer psychological stress and disorders during the final aging years including depression and anxiety, grief from loss of a loved one, changes in physical conditions and friends, loneliness, fear and sadness. Adult children often need help in learning how to effectively communicate with their aging parent, coordinate/manage family members around care and dealing with the stresses of care giving. For all of these needs we refer clients to Susan Birenbaum, a licensed clinical social worker, who provides counseling services to individuals and families on changes related to aging. Susan is a Medicare Provider who visits home bound individuals in their homes.
